Rock Steady Boxing at NJAC offers a non-contact boxing-based fitness curriculum aimed at empowering individuals with Parkinson’s disease. Our program is scientifically designed to improve motor skills, balance, and strength, helping participants fight back against the symptoms of Parkinson’s. Each class combines boxing techniques with cardio and strength training in a supportive environment that fosters camaraderie and confidence.

Meet Our Team

Fitness & Wellness Director
Rock Steady Boxing Certified Coach
Tatiana Baier, Ph.D. serves as the Fitness & Wellness Director at New Jersey Athletic Club and is a Rock Steady Boxing Certified Coach. With a Ph.D. in Sport Science and extensive experience in fitness, wellness, facility operations, and community health, Tatiana is dedicated to helping individuals living with Parkinson’s disease and other chronic conditions stay active, strong, and engaged.
Throughout her career, she has developed and led award-winning wellness programs, worked with diverse populations, and presented at international fitness conferences. Her evidence-based approach, combined with a passion for building supportive communities, helps participants improve their physical function, confidence, and quality of life through movement and exercise.

Jonathan Gordon is a Rock Steady Boxing Certified Coach dedicated to helping people with Parkinson’s disease improve their strength, mobility, balance, and quality of life through evidence-based boxing training. He holds certifications as an ISSA Personal Trainer, ISSA Nutritionist, and ISSA Corrective Exercise Specialist, giving him a well-rounded approach to fitness and wellness.
As a USA Boxing Licensed Amateur Boxer and the 2024 Golden Gloves and Diamond Gloves Champion, Jonathan brings championship-level boxing experience to every class. His compassionate coaching style focuses on empowerment, encouragement, and helping each participant move with greater confidence both inside and outside the gym.
